The Computer Research Association's
Committee on the Status of Women in
Computing Research (CRA-W) is an action
oriented organization dedicated to increasing
the number of women participating in
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
research and education at all levels.
Since 1994 the CRA Distributed Mentor Project (DMP) has been
working to increase the number of women
entering graduate school in Computer Science and Computer Engineering (CS&E).
The project matches outstanding female undergraduates with female
mentors for a summer of research at the mentor's institution. This research
experience provides students with a window on research and graduate life, and gives
them a close mentoring relationship with a faculty researcher.
For more information about the CRA-W and the DMP Program, please see the DMP web site.
